ABOUT DR. SAMUEL HESS
With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Hess is Board Certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic
Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.
Dr. Hess has served as medical director of the spine and orthopedic center of Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte. He performs orthopedic consultations, disc replacements, sacroiliac joint fusions, and stem cell injections. Dr. Hess welcomes patients to his practice who are experiencing back problems, herniated discs, scoliosis,
degenerative disease, and neck problems, among others.
Prior to opening his own practice, Hess Spine & Orthopedics, Dr. Hess has served as medical director of the spine and orthopedic center as well as chief of surgery at Faucet Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte.
During his free time, Dr. Hess volunteers his time to patients who cannot afford orthopedic and spine care. His hobbies include equestrian sports and activities, collecting art, reading, live music, and spending time with his wife, Kristin and his four daughters.
